profit (NFP) organizations for performances of musical
works by Kurt Weill & Marc Blitzstein, to individuals & NFP
organizations for scholarly research projects pertaining to
Weill, Lotte Lenya, & Blitzstein, & to NFP organizations
for relevant educational initiatives. Funding categories:
Professional Performance, College/University Performance,
Research & Travel, Kurt Weill Dissertation Fellowship,
Publication Assistance, Kurt Weill Mentors, Educational
Outreach, Broadcasts. Eligibility: Not-for-profit organizations
& individuals (see Purpose). Prizes: Various. Deadline: Nov.
1 for the following calendar year, academic year, or cultural
season (June 1 for College/University Performance for fall

Annual. Purpose: Established in 2013, it is the goal of the
Wilson Center Guitar Festival to celebrate the greatest
guitarists of today and tomorrow. Eligibility: Guitarists of all
ages & nationalities; candidates must be non-professional
guitarists who do not make full-time careers from guitar-related work; for example, a guitarist who teaches a
small number of students or plays non-regular jobs would
qualify. Prizes: $40,000 in prize money ($5000 1st place in
all five genres; $2000 2nd place in all five genres; $1,000
3rd place in all five genres). Deadline: May 31, 2020.

Eligibility: Singers ages 21-35 years; must be thoroughly

prepared application are guaranteed an audition. Prizes:
Top Award $20,000, Second Prize $15,000, with cash
prizes totalling approximately $65,000 distributed among
the finalists; minimum award ranging from $1500-$2000.
